I'd do player for player straight up. Both teams looking to move the players, both players want out. Not down with moving picks tho.
#6 overall and Richardson is way too much for Cooks. He's had Drew Brees throwing him the ball. He ain't gonna save the Jets who are trying to develop a young QB. I don't think he's even worth the #6 alone, even though the Saints want several picks for him. Who knows, though. It may be worth it to offload Richardson.
Brandin Cooks will not have Drew Brees throwing to him. I question how effective he will be without him. Especially when we don't know who the QB will be.
Maybe send Richardson as a spokesperson for AAA driving reform After FA and Draft Mac takes his family on free vacation to Bermuda
If you're referring to rickjet's post, it wasn't Richardson and the Jets #6 pick for Cooks. It was Richardson and the Jets' #6 pick for Cooks AND THE SAINTS #11 pick AND A 4th OR 5th ROUND PICK!!!!
No way, Cooks has been far more productive than Richardson. Plus if we take into account that the Pats offered their first for him and the Saints rejected it means they want a high 1st round pick for him. It would be great, but I just can't see the Saints biting on a trade like that. If we included Sheldon and maybe another 3rd then perhaps, but right now Jets should really just bunker down, get as many picks as they can, and fill as many holes as they can.
I like Cooks and said the Jets should've drafted him when he came out. However now the asking price of #6 for Cooks straight up is too much. I'd rather have a Cook or Fournette who is going to touch the ball a lot more in a game than Cooks would.
If Cooks isn't happy in New Orleans with Drew Bress throwing him the ball, he is going to hang himself by Week 3 over here at Florham Park.. With that being said... make the damn trade.
The saints have more reason to want Sheldon than we have to want Cooks...... if they'd do this deal I'd definitely do it: Sheldon and a late round pick for Cooks and the 11th pick......
