This RB class is stacked...... I wouldn't mind us taking a RB to groom behind Forte for a year or two..... My question is two fold...... Do you want a top RB in the upcoming draft? And how do you rank the top RB's? Who would you want the jets to take if we had our choice?

This RB class is deep. You didn't even name Nick Chubb, Samaje Perine, Royce Freeman or Wayne gallman, who should all have their name called on draft day. We'd be fools to not take advantage.

Fournette is the #1 RB until proven otherwise. Guy is a monster. But I think we go somewhere else in the first, he doesn't fall to us.

I don't believe that Dalvin Clark has done much this season unless he did yesterday. Even Fournette has struggled some. No way, I'd want either or really any RB in the 1st round.

Dalvin Cook has 400 yards and 5 touchdowns over the last two games.

OK, thanks. He's finally starting to play then. I thought it was last week, but must have been two weeks ago when one of the announcers in a game I was watching was talking about how surprisingly poor Cook's play (as well as several of the other highly-hyped RBs) had been this season.

RBs are a dime a dozen.

Never spend a high draft pick, or money, on a RB.

I don't want us to spend a first on a RB because I truly believe that with a stout OL anyone can run behind it. Nonetheless, I would love to see us land the kid from Stanford. He seems like a player New England would go after and I can absolutely see him wreak havoc on us for the upcoming years

Use a 3rd round pick. There should be plenty available. Would prefer a speedy running back for once.

rbs do not get groomed for a year or 2. you draft them, run them till their legs fall off then draft a new one when they ask for a big 2nd contract.

    Disagree

Fournette is the best RB prospect since AP

    Cook is another Jamaal Charles

    Well worth 1st round pick

Your right. Cook only had 2046 all purpose yards and 19 touchdowns this season

Did you bother to look at the date of my post and how it was pretty early in the season? I guess not. I guess it's just easier to take something out of context and criticize someone.

    Fournette's 22 in Jan
Fournette has fewer than 50 career receptions.
    He's coming off an injury.
    He struggles against Bama.

Actually, I didn't. I saw the thread near the top and assumed it was a new thread. I apologize. I'm really not one to criticize and again I apologize for the misunderstanding

No problem. I appreciate the apology. I know Cook had been a very good player last season. This year, he didn't get off to a very good start, but then definitely came on hard down the stretch.

Leonard Fournette is an absolute beast. He and Cook, to me, are the top 2 prospects and are very close. I think Fournette is an insane physical specimen because he's 230+ pounds and probably runs a 4.4 40 yard dash. If you watch him run, he runs violently, runs people over, uses leverage very well, and always seems to fall forward to gain a few extra yards. He has the shiftiness of Shady McCoy but is much bigger. Once he finds a crease, he's gone.

I understand some may be weary of drafting a RB in the first round of a stacked running back class but Fournette is an Adrian Peterson type of running back. He can make the Jets offense difference because he's a mix of power and elusiveness. I also know we have Powell and Forte but Fournette, if he's still there at 6, is my pick.

    Yes Yes and double Yes

Pull the trigger on a first round beast for your Offense

The OL is going to fall into place with young guys like Shell and some smart late rounders

    Be unconventional Mac!

I would start plugging holes for the OL in third round on or pick up a blue chip CB to replace DR

    Stop drafting for D early!!!!

Personally I like McCafferty but of course LF is a young Ivory...happy with either,,,better with both LOL

How smart an OC do you have to be with a trio of Powell Forte and one of these guys?????

    A duh....

If your opponnent stax the box run some play action draws screens and dump it off to a Witten like TE

    Dallas East baby!!!!!
