I heard this on ESPN Radio in the same segment as the Patrick Ramsey interview. Recently, a large portion of land was purchased in LA, supposedly for the Saints to move to in the future. Of course, LA is one of the biggest markets in the nation, which would be the new home for primetime player Reggie Bush. This could just be a coincidence, but the man who made the final decision for the Texans to take Mario Williams over Reggie Bush just unexpectadly resigned to take a job in the NFL FO. Im not saying this is fact, or anything close to it, but there are just so many coincidences in this situation. Anyone have any opinions on this.

It does sound a little weird. I think Bush will sell jersey's no matter where he plays though and not only Saints fans will buy them.

Eh. Before the Saints signed Brees, I thought (like everyone else) that they were a lock to get Matt Leinart. I also though (not exactly like everyone else) that they were a lock to move to Los Angeles. I still think they will probably be the first team to move, because they are horrible, have a horrible owner, have a horrible stadium and city (right now) and no real fan base to back them up.

I think Bush would do well in LA but it always seemed like Leinart was the more popular of the two so I think if there was a "real conspiracy, they wouldn't have had to make the Texans skip Bush because if the Saints knew what was right they would have targeted Matt Leinart from the start and that would have been a much better ménage a trois than Bush, Saints, LA.

Conspiracy theories are a lot of fun to fool around with. Most of them are just theories though.

Here's the problem with the Bush to LA via New Orleans one:

The Saints are only one of about three really good candidates to wind up in LA in a few years. Buffalo and Indianapolis are both just as strong candidates to wind up in LA eventually.

In that situation it would be ridiculous for Houston to take the marketing hit of not drafting Bush just to possibly put him in LA in a few years. Houston is a marketing machine right now and they could have made a huge amount of change off of Bush.

I have to believe that they honestly thought Mario Williams was a better direction to go for the franchise. I don't agree with them, but that's irrelevant.

I think the saints will be the ultimate choice to go to L.A.

Well it better be some team. Cause this bot doesn't want a 33rd team in this perfect league.

I totally agree. Expansion hurt baseball, and it risked the NFL. We don't need any more teams. I'd say the chances are good it's going to be NO.

I'd strike Indy off the list. They're getting a brand new stadium in Indy.
