Conor Orr @ConorTOrr Per @TonyPauline, the #jets are on Dion Jordan's official visit list. People more familiar with Oregon and the draft may have more input
Damn, I remember some posters here were quietly pumping him up on the draft forum & getting some resistance. Now this guy is just too popular & Jets have no shot. I'm sure Jets already have alternate candidates lined up for workouts.
Jarvis Jones would be kick ass!! I think he is arguably the best player in the entire draft. If it were not for his spine diagnosis at first, he would probably go #1
I can see Jarvis Jones falling to #9 for us to take. Even though the doctor cleared him of any issues and says he has no medical problems, I still feel teams are worried about it. Hopefully he is in full health and falls to us. That would be a killer pick
I would prefer to see Demantre Moore in a Jets uniform above Jarvis Jones and Dion Jordan, I would not be upset if they selected him though. I do like the speed that Dion Jordan has though, I just think he is a one trick pony, not enough size...JMO
That's what everyone said about Aldon Smith when he was coming out. Undersized, One trick pony, etc....we would be lucky to have him and I see a ton of similarities between the two. If we pick Jordan, Jones, Geno, or Warmack i would be ecstatic. Here's Hoping one falls to 9
Good point, but when you look at his numbers compared to Moore there is not really a comparison, Moore has better numbers against better competition, and Aldon Smith was 15lbs heavier than Jordan, for an average guy like you and me that may be nothing to worry about, but in football Aldon smith had muscle and speed, hence the transition was easier for him, he was already strong enough. Jordan is 250, if he were playing weak side LB in a 4-3 I would be all over it, but in the 3-4 formation it just make me hesitate a little. But I agree with you that one of them should fall to the Jets and that should make for a good selection....
I don't really like Mingo. He has a good motor and everything but runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. He takes terrible angles AND he get pushed around way to easy. He's light as a feather. Not worthy of #9 to me.
This would be great if he was there at num 9 but its a slim chance, We might be better off trading down at that point
If the top three pass rushers are off the board should we trade down or take a guy like cordarelle or milliner if they slip?
