Paul Posluszny won the Bednarik award for the nation's top defensive player. He's only the 2nd player in history to win it two years in a row (yeah I know it hasn't been around that long, but still...). He broke the record for tackles at Linebacker U this year as well. Considering the great defensive players to come out of PSU, that's a pretty great achievement. Dan Connor, also from PSU was a finalist as well. Congrats Poz!

2 Bednariks is pretty damn good, especially since he beat out guys like AJ Hawk and Demeco Ryans last year, as well as Lamarr Woodley, Patrick Willis, and the almighty Dan Connor this year. He's just a flat out natural football player with almost perfect instincts, and just because he's a step slower and a bit weaker then everyone else doesn't mean shit. He's Posluszny. Whoever drafts him is going to be very happy (and whoever gets Connor in '08 will have wet dreams every night... gotta love the Connor Rip).
