Figured the Combine deserves its own thread since the offseason and draft is our annual Super Bowl. Combine Schedule March 3rd: TE QB WR March 4th: PK ST OL RB March 5th: DL LB March 6th: DB Some performances I'm looking forward to are Hamilton, Wilson, London, Burks, Gardner, McBride, Lloyd, KT, Jermaine Johnson, McDuffie, Ojabo.
It’s a funny draft because there is a lot of different flavours. The person I most want to see is Stingley. **Edit** Looks like Stingley won’t participate and he’s just doing his pro day… After that Burks, Lloyd, Thibodeaux, Wilson, Sauce, Hamilton, Booth, Ford, Ruckert, Strange, McDuffie and Corall/Pickett for trade down situations. We need the QB hype to ramp up to push some players up for us and increase the value of our picks
I was looking at the posted top 40 YD dash times in Combine history and was surprised to see Javelin Guidry's name among those at the top (4.29) Another thing that struck me was that few of those top performers made it very big in the NFL (so far.) Chris Johnson is one exception.
Really interesting thread about which combine drills and measurements correlate most highly with early success in the NFL. TL;DR - the 10 yard split is generally a lot more important than the 40. I also found it pretty interesting that neck size and hand size correlate very highly with QB success.
Is anyone a subscriber and can post this or at least give a synopsis for each position? I'm not a fan of PFF, but it would be interesting to see their take on the drills by position. Thanks.
The thread linked there gives a pretty good recap of the most relevant things for each offensive position. The article for defensive positions came out today but the Twitter thread for it doesn't have as much data as this one does for offensive positions.

So Drake London shrunk by an inch and a half and Treylon Burks has normal human hands. Sometimes I really hate the combine, the epicenter of over thinking.
I know that teams list players as being taller than they are and lighter/heavier than they actually are, but I've never heard of one exaggerating hand size.. When a precise hand measurement for Burks was given (10 1/4), I guess I mistakingly assumed that his hands had been measured. What did they measure at the Combine?
So Burks is 6'2 even with 9 7/8" hands. Wilson is about 5'11.5 with the same size hands. London 6'4 with 9 3/8" hands. Funny how each guy had their schools exaggerating their height by about an inch.
Good find. Anyone that played football knows a 10 or 20 yard split is more important than a 40. The game is played in increments of 10 yards, being able to quickly accelerate and hit a top end speed is crucial.
