What about Tony Dungy if Indy does not go to Super Bowl. They have had the most talented team the last few years and can not get there. TB won a super bowl after they got rid of him
Mora Jr is gone. He's not a very good coach IMO. They have already said Denny Green is gone. All signs point to Cowher leaving the NFL for college next year. I'd expect Coughlin to be fired as well, or a cleaning of the house with the players. Should be another interesting offseason. I'm glad we are safe from the Coach Carosel(sp?) for at least a few years.
I was wondering if you were going to pick up on that. The biggest thing that would cause the Giants to dump Coughlin would be if Fox was fired (which seems VERY unlikely to me). Green is of course gone, the signs do seem to be pointing to Cowher leaving, and I do think that Mora is toast if Atlanta doesn't turn it around (if for no other reason than Vick is going backwards week by week). I'll congratulate myself (for what it's worth) that I had Green getting fired at some point during or after this year after only 3 or 4 games, but at the time I thought Crennel was safe. I guess I'll still stick with that, but if the Browns have a couple of more stinkers like they did against Cincinnati, he might be in trouble.
I can see all these scenarios except for Fox and Lovie, Lovie has been too successful compared to the crap they had after Ditka that he will be safe and probably get an extention at the end of the year, and I doubt that Car will fire Fox, however if they fail to make the playoffs his seat may get warm, Crennel time using the "rebuilding process" as an excuse for poor performance is running out fast, the fans/management's patience may be running out, everything else I see as clear as day.
What about Andy Reid? How safe is his job? There are quite a few Eagles fans that want him out, but then again, they are dumb asses.

State is in contact with Cowher, he thinks the ball is in Cowher's court, and he's pretty sure that Cowher would have to take a serious, serious pay cut if he wanted to move to Raleigh to coach is alma mater. If money is any part of Cowher's reluctance to re-up with the Steelers, it's hard to imagine why he would be willing to take less money to go to N.C. State. Sure, the hours are a little less, but he'd also have to do all the banquet/alumni circuit and recruiting that NFL coaches can avoid. He does glance over one potentially major point. It's much more difficult to imagine Cowher coaching a college team than another NFL team next year because the Steelers have the right to ensure he works nowhere else. With Cowher under contract, why exactly would the Steelers let Cowher out of his deal to coach a college team. If Daniel Snyder wants to bring Cowher to Washington, he can send a first-rounder to the Steelers as compensation, but the Wolfpack can't promise their next two top NFL prospects to the Steelers. The only reason the Steelers would possibly give him the OK is to get the decision made quickly so they could move on and hire their next coach.
