When do we get Clowney back? I'm looking forward to even MORE explosiveness when our FASTEST receiver takes the field!! This season could be something special, people!!

A good name for his fan club would be the Insane Clowney Posse.

There was a write-up on Clowney this morning in the Star-Ledger. It said he's back at practice and looking to get himself out on the field. He was a 5th round pick in 2007 and we picked him up off of somebody's practice squad (can't remember which team)when he didn't make that team last year.

He had two 70 and 71-yard catches in preseason and runs the 40 in 4.26 seconds. This is a VERY fast deep threat for Favre to throw to. Not saying he's starting material just yet, because we have Coles and Cotchery and Stuckey and Washington, but this guy is GREAT depth at WR. If anyone gets injured, I'd really like to see him get some playing time.

I think he was off the Packer PS, so Favre has thrown to him before.

It will probably take some time before he gets much playing time but he will certainly add a threat to our offense. Imaging any nickel back trying to stick with that speed.

4 wide with Coles, Cotch, Keller or Stuckey and Clowney?

We have multiple ways to attack defenses. I'm excited to see this kids speed in use.

I think you guys are really exaggerating how much of an impact he will actually have in a non pre-season game...

Why? He's very fast, has good moves, and good hands.

It's not likely that a WR who's good in preseason might be good in regular season? Please explain the logic.

Every good WR in the NFL had to, at one point, play his first regular season game ("non-preseason" game, as you call it).

The guy has a lot of speed. Defenses are going to have to respect the damage Favre can do with C&C on the outside. Throw Clowney in the slot and send him running free up the seam once and a while.

Is it crazy to think that could be dangerous?

Clowney is seriously dangerous, especially with that speed after the catch.

Its not likely he will see a tons of throws but farve loves to spread the ball around. I wouldnt be surprised if he had a big game this season

It wasn't just the preseason games I'm talking about. I watched him at TC. The guy has GREAT hands and a talent for using his speed to get open.

Yeah, Stevie Anderson comes to mind when I think of Clowney. I'm not sure what to expect from the guy long term, I don't expect much this season. I liked what I saw in preseason but preseason doesn't tell us alot.

You gotta remember, Clowney was only effective with Brett Rattlif as the QB. It's going to take a lot of time for him to work himself into the offense.

Think of the way we used to use Jonathan Carter, but realize that Clowney is more skilled.

I think this is accurate. I don't know why Clowney was a 5th Rounder. I'm not inducting him to Canton or anything, but I feel like he exhibits the skillset of a 3rd Rounder.

If they can ever give this kid some time with Favre... I'm talking about meaningful time for Favre to get used to Clowney, Clowney has the ability to get open and let Favre lead the pass to the left or right or straight out deep and this kid has the burst of speed to get to the ball... in other words... Favre can lead this kid a little more than he'd lead others like Coles, for example.... that could be some combination. Put the ball where nobody else can get it and make Clowney go for it. I guarantee he comes up with that catch most of the time.

I Thought he was already practicing and would be around for Week 6.
