Yanks put Ron Villone on the roster and removed clemens, which means the yanks have a lefty in the pen.. also, clemens is ineligible for the alcs if teh yanks make it that far..
i dont think clemens was a dissapointment.. he pitched huge vs. boston twice, and although he didnt win as many games as ppl may have liked, he has been a clubhouse leader.. and im sure he has helped out joba, hughes, kennedy and co
$30 million and he only pitched 2 1/3 innings and won't be in the ALCS? 6-6, 4.18 ERA. Disappointing.
Disappointing, but at the time this signing was made, I had a hard time disputing it. With Igawa and Rasner in the starting rotation, but much was happening.
The disappointment is that they brought up Villone and not Kennedy. Obviously there was more to Kennedy being in Tampa then his wedding.
Kennedy is still recovering from a strained back. If the Yankees advance to the ALCS he will probably be ready to go and be on the roster by then.
no, thats not true at all. The only restrictions of this move is that Clemens cannot be on the ALCS roster. The Yankees can add or take anyone off the ALDS roster before the ALCS.
