Its still very early rumor stage but it is being whispered that the Texans might want to deal CJ Stroud.

If that ever happens would you be interested, and if so, what would you be willing to give up for him?.

Not a proven FQB, but way too young to be considered/paid like a bridge QB.

He’s still on his rookie contract right? Is it odd to be shopping a mid-tier QB when the draft is a desert for the position?

I’d be thrilled to have a consistent 3750/22/10 guy for a few years through a rebuild. Bonus if he gets to the next level.

24 years old and already proven to be accurate and productive. Hell yeah

According to someone going by the name Brian “Big Sarge” Barfield:

“The sports news cycle is very slow…These BS C.J. Stroud stories are fake and trash…What have I always told yall…Those who can’t create content creates confusion…”

It likely is just a rumor, but its being reported by SI who might have more credibility than Big Sarge. Probably not much though.

I will say that the Houston coach seemed awfully comfortable coaching Davis Mills this season in relief. Maybe he's a confident guy, and thats just how he is, idk but they threw Mills in and did not treat anything like they were playing with a backup.

then you have Stroud choking in the playoffs. I think there's something to these rumors

haven’t heard those rumors at all, but they are a bit surprising…funny but Mills is the one QB I’d be happy with trading for, so if they are that high on him that they’d trade away Stroud, that’s interesting

I have a hard time believing any of this as it just doesn’t make much sense…Stroud has done well with them, and they have a solid backup in Mills.

But I’d take either guy over any of Murray, Cousins, Mariotta, Tua, Brissett, or whatever other scrub we can find.

Stroud’s a legitimate 6’3”. He’s not a smurf. And he also has an over-the-top throwing motion so it’s not like he’s prone to getting his throws batted.

He looked smallish. Bad eyesight. Thought he was 6ft even.

No thank you. I'm not a fan of his.

A QB that young if they're going to go that route we've got a ton of draft picks draft one or two or three in the next couple of drafts OR trade for Burrow.

I don't want a young QB his first team has already given up on him and more than likely he won't come cheap.

No on this. The cost would be too high, and you'd have to wonder about any QB that a team is looking to trade before their rookie deal is over.

He definitely played small in the playoffs.
