@RichCimini The Jets announce the re-signing of PK Nick Folk -- a free agent who stayed Jets re-signed K Nick Folk. Folk, 28, made just 21-of-27 field goal attempts last season, but that 77.8 percent rate was his best since 2008. Folk also handles kickoff duties for Gang Green.
Good resigning. I remember a couple of his kicks being blocked which lowered his percentage. He's still a good kicker.
He's a solid' if unspectacular' kicker. Hopefully we bring in some competition during training camp to push him a little.
Without the 3 blocks he was 24/27, almost 90%. I seem to remember one or 2 coming off the uprights too. Not as bad as his numbers seem.
But they were blocked. Blocked kicks, along with poor protection, can also be attributed to poor kicks (low for example). Nobody is able to determine if all or any of the 3 blocked kicks were going in. He's average at best. 21 of 27 is not good at all.
Yea there was a point where his only missed kick were blocks. I think he kicked really well last season
Has yet to actually cost us a game in 3 years. Hes come up clutch to at time. The browns game was a nightmare but we still won.
He's not great but he's cheap & he's clutch. Considering all the holes we've got, I'm OK with just bringing him back.
Yaaa. I made a thread about this earlier but the nazis that run this board deleted it for some reason. Nick is my favorite jet and I'm glad to see that bald headed, ugly SOB back in the Green N White. Any numbers on the contract out yet ?
wow our best signing so far, what a great off season... our fireworks are as exciting as a pack of 99 cent sparklers. Even Rex is getting in on it by saying Tebow is competing for the staring job this season. haha
