    There is no partner for a JMac trade. He's due fat money until 2010.

    i wouldnt mind j mac on the roster i think hes a good #3 and a decent back up ig lc or cotch guys down. just my thought

    No, when a player is traded, all the acquiring team has to pay is the base salary, not signing bonus, so it's always very beneficial for them. Even if his base salary is somewhat high, it's still a good deal, because he is cuttable at any time with no cap hit, and there is no prorated signing bonus to pay.

    That's true. But I was saying it's not worth is for us to keep him with the salary he's making.

    I'd rather give him the boot and let Brad Smith see some more time. Brad Smith has 100 times more potential.
