Jeremy Kerley, who underwent tests today, has a dislocated elbow, per source. Looks like he'll be out at least a few weeks. #Jets
I thought it'd be season ending after seeing it hyperextend on replay. So I take this as good news. Glad he will be back.
This could have been a lot worse. Hopefully Holmes is back after the bye and Salas can fill in for Kerley while he is out.
A subluxation of the elbow? No way he's coming back after the bye. I thought he was done for the year, but apparently they are giving this a 4 week timetable which means it wasn't a bad dislocation. Severe dislocation would've definitely been season ending if not career threatening.
That's good news considering the worse case scenario and seeing that fall. Let's send him flowers and a get well soon card.
ok this is good news, I was afraid there would be a fracture. a sublux means the joint surfaces just partially pulled apart. usually it pops back into place on its own right after. the ligaments got overstretched but otherwise structurally it's fine, just some joint pain. the injury itself isn't that bad, the problem is that subsequent repeat subluxations are common because the ligs are looser and there could be loss of range of motion. proper rehab should help avoid this though. I don't see why he would be out a whole month for this.. maybe if he was a wuss ass baseball player, but this is football, man up. one time I subluxed my shoulder and fought a kickboxing fight the next week. It's nice we're on the bye, he should be back for buffalo or the game after.
I don't know much about injuries, but can't there be varying degrees of severity? I just hope he comes back sooner rather than later. We could potentially have a full, relatively healthy offense heading into the back end of the season. That could be huge.
Could have been a lot worse. Glad it's not as bad and we are getting a lot of pieces back with the bye. We should be fine
Glad to hear it's potentially not season ending. The walking vagina Holmes needs to get his act together.
technically a subluxation is a subcategory of a dislocation. there are complete dislocations which is where the contact surfaces of the joint totally separate. These usually require a medical professional to reset the joint. Then there are partial dislocations aka subluxation where the separation is not complete. these usually "pop" back into place right after the injury. Also I'd say that an elbow subluxation is less of a worry than a shoulder. So just by knowing the area of the injury and that it's subluxed and not completely dislocated, we can guess the general severity injury. basically he's fine, he's just got a sore elbow. the only thing to worry about is if repeat subluxations start happening and become a recurring problem. still, I think it's something you could play through, he's just gonna have to learn to protect that arm.
my point exactly and he plays inside so he's going to be dealing with hits coming from both sides of the field where as guys on the outside can adjust easier because they usually know where the hits are coming from I would hate this to hurt him in the long run thats why I say rest him til he's 150%
