Skill players always want more. I don't blame him too much for his bad results, its more on Marty. CJ is NOT a run between the tackles guy. Those carries should be going to either Ivory or Powell. CJ should be used for screens, short passes and outside the tackle runs. That said, the dude looks like he's lost more than a few steps so maybe he can't break it wide any longer.
Marty needs CJ to run between the tackles to keep the offense unpredictable. If he always runs outside he'll be stopped before he gets the ball. They did the same with the Titans, that 90 something yard run CJ had against us a couple years ago was right up the middle.
Sure but it seems like 80+ percent of his carries are inside. 40 percent inside the tackles would be more than enough to keep defenses honest.
Only when you're a jet does "WE (WE WE WE WE WE..U KNOW...THE TEAM??? HIM IVORY AND POWELL THE COMMITTEE) need to run the ball more" turn into "I want more carries". He didn't even say those words lmao
