I always liked pistol - I personally favored pistol over shotgun, simply because pistol allows the implementation of power running game, which shotgun cannot. And now if the QB is athletic enough, he is one more hat the defense has to account for. He is no more the 'lost hat' on the offense, so to speak. Thus, I would think, this is the real heist for the Chiefs. Alex Smith would fare better in pistol than in any other conventional offense after all.
