Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson resigned today effective at the end of the season.

“On behalf of my family and the entire Kansas City Chiefs organization, I want to thank Carl for his two decades of service to the Chiefs,” Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said. “Both Carl and I agreed that immediately initiating the search for the next Chiefs general manager would be the best thing for the future of the organization, and he will be resigning following the 2008 season.’’

Hunt said the search for a new general manager will begin immediately. Vice President Denny Thum will serve as the Chiefs' interim president and general manager.

Maybe they'll grab Bradway and he and Herm can rule the NFL.

'Attention team, please keep your seats, we're going over and extra-large bump this time.'

I would wager the answer to that one is... NO.

New GM should probably keep Herm around one more year so that a new coach doesn't inherit that god-awful team and feel immediate pressure after a four-win season.

Herm has no chance of keeping his job unless the new GM/President is an idiot

Maybe Bradway will be a candidate for the job.

Herm and Peterson were tight going back to Herm's playing days. This is a package deal Herm is "dead man walking at KC". Look for Hunt to bring in a whole new regieme.

I was hoping KC would be stupid enough to take Gholston off our hands for a decent pick.

My wife and all of my inlaws are from Western Missouri and are Chief fans. They're saying they want to give Herm back to us once he's bounced out of KC.. I said "thanks but no thanks. We'll just keep our fathead.." :)

  19. Don't be surprised if Bradway is their man. Sometimes when he was GM..the way he referred to his time there..it's like he never wanted to leave. Anyone remember the term "KC connection"?
