im sitting here watching the Mizzou vs. Nebraska game tonight, and I really like what i see from Daniels. I know he is one of the biggest names at the QB position in college football. I am just curious to see what other people's take on daniels is. How does he project to the pros? Also I love this stat, how can anyone not love a guy with this stat? NO three and out's to this point on the season, with 4:08 seconds to go in the first half tonight.
1. It's Chase Daniel. If you were watching the game, you should've realized that... 2. He's a system quaterback. 3. He's undersized. 4. Great college QB, on a great team. 5. Mizzou's Jeremy Maclin is a much, much better pro prospect.
Yea, 3rd round pick IMO. He's got the potential to start in the NFL honestly, but it'll be really tough for him. Theres just not many 6' or under QBs.
I think chase is gonna surprise alot of people they say he's a system qb but i cant ever remember Mizzou's offense ever looking this good, if he was taller he be a much coveted prospect
Agreed. He's got alot of good traits of a QB...quick release...decent arm strength...great ball placement...smart...good leader...
If he was taller, he'd be a top 10 pick. No doubt. ...but he's not a tall guy. The spread offense pads the stats of every involved in the passing game, but Daniel would probably put up big numbers in another system. Really the only knocks on him are his lack of height, and that he plays in the spread, so scouts are automatically going to think of Alex Smith.
haha too bad Daniel will be way better than Smith. I'm high on him, even in the pros i think he has what it takes and like you said the only knock on him is doesnt have ideal height. i think he'll be fine if hes drafted onto a solid organization.
Maclin's a beast. I wasn't a fan, but he's gotten bigger and that was his worst flaw. He's a really good WR prospect now, and with his versatility he can go very high. I'd rather have Crabtree or DHB anyway. Or just...wait for Aurelius Benn...then pray for a miracle cause we'll probably be good in '10/'11.
