Gotta show some love for Peter King's Goat of the Week Chansi Stuckey ! He was instrumental in helping the Jets snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Way to fight for those few extra yards when you are already in FG territory in a tie game Chansi ! Can somebody please post the video of Cro's fumble recovery of Stuckey's fumble?
http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-jets/09000d5d81c1df81 thank you Mr. Stuckey. I love the way, he has that wtf moment & then screams it doesn't count because he stepped out of bounds. Around the 0:21 second mark, you can hear the announcer groan & probably wanted to scream over the mic what the heck was Stuckey doing.
"Drew Coleman Fan Appreciation Thread" Why credit the player who got the ball stripped? Coleman made a great play, Stuckey didn't just place it on the ground for us. "Drew Coleman Fan Appreciation Thread"
Stuckey was pretty good for us when he was here. Had some pretty good catches as far as I rememeber, 3rd down conversions even maybe.
Why thank chansi ? He didn't really "Fuck up" the ball was ripped out of his grip by Coleman, Great play by Drew if you ask me.
You should be thanked for the fumble? I like Stuckey the few years he was here. It's a shame it happened to him, but I'll take it every time.
Yes Chansi should be thanked for fighting for a few extra yards when he should have just gone out of bounds. How is Chansi Stuckey fumbling and saving the Jets a shame???? Of course Chansi should be thanked ! Wake up and praise Chansi !!!! :metal:
Drew Coleman deserves credit. Come on! Drew gets ripped on this board nonstop, and while he might not be a pro bowl cover corner, the guy is a descent dime back, and we all know how clutch Coleman can be.
Weeks go by, and it is still hard to accept that Coleman seems to have upped his game. But it sure seems that way...
I agree with this. I love to bash the hell out of Coleman in the nickel role, but he makes enough impact plays and is not terrible in zone coverage, he makes a decent dime. I just don't want him covering the opposing team's slot specialist. Not in this division.
Stuckey shouldn't have fumbled the ball, of course, but he most definitely was NOT in field goal range. The closest he could have gone out of bounds without risking being tackled was the Jets 35 yard line, which would imply a 52 yard field goal. Phil Dawson is 10/17 on field goals of 50+ yards in his career, and he was 1/3 this season on field goal attempts of 40+ yards (with the one success coming indoors). Cleveland would have definitely tried to get another first down before attempting a field goal, with all the risks that go with that. Criticize Stuckey for making the physical mistake, but it simply isn't true that he made a bad decision by trying to get more yards.
