I've got the same choice, Big Ben or Brees... I went with Big Ben, because the Rams, while better than earlier in the season, are a worse defense than the Eagles.... Also, I feel like the Steelers will make a statement and win this game big... I'm expecting a 2TD performance from Ben...
I would have went with Brees, but I think both would have good games. I started Roethlisberger over Bulger tonight in my title game. Santonio Holmes is on my bench. That looks like it might suck for me.
roethlisberger-bulger would've been close for me as well, but I agree with Big Ben. But I do think Rams will keep it close.
This Steven Jackson bastard better stop piling up the points. My opponent has him. My key player is Brian Westbrook. You never know with him and the Eagles. I hope he plays on Sunday.
anyone who started Big Ben is a long way towards winning their game. 212 yards and 3 TDs, and it's still the first half.
SO glad I chose Ben! In my league's championship, and I've got 23 first-half points from Big Ben! Awesome!
I'd feel much better if my opponent did not have Tom Brady. Huge matchup between the two teams that were clearly the best. We have the #1 and #2 overall records and are 1 and 2 in points scored. Going into this week he had 2441 points and I had 2433. I would have 2442 if Westbrook didn't stop at the 1. A 25-yard TD in that league is worth 9 points. We split two games in the regular season. My team has won 10 of its last 11 games with the loss being a 173-170 score. This league pays out money to the two people whose team makes it to the title game (winner obviously gets a little more money). Also, the top three teams in total points get money (highest gets the most, obviously). So, I'm concerned with winning the game and also scoring 9 higher than my opponent.
the guy im playing in the championship has big ben going for him tonight...not looking good at all for me....i also started jonesdrew over holmes as my flex this week.....bad coaching so far
Dammit. Ike Taylor just returned an INT for a TD. This means more Bulger and basically no more Roethlisberger. So far, Roethlisberger is outscoring Bulger 41-37 in my league.
As I have noted in other threads throughout the season, in that league we actually use Team QBs as opposed to individuals. That screwed me tonight. Charlie Batch's final kneel down cost me a point because it dropped the Roethlisberger/Batch rushing stats into single digits. In a span of five days, a yard by Batch and a yard by Westbrook cost me a combined 10 points. Updated point totals: me- 2473 the other guy- 2466
my opponent int he final round had only one guy going for him today and that was steven jackson....not a huge game by him but solid.
Flex spot- DeAngelo Williams, Ronald Curry, or Chester Taylor? DECISION MADE: I am going with Taylor.
Cool, my opponent has Justin Fargas in his lineup, with only Ahman Green on his bench. Therefore, he either will stupidly leave Fargas in his lineup or will have to switch to a WR. Kevin Curtis would be his best option. UPDATE: Curtis is starting. Unfortunately, I am stuck having to start Fitzgerald. I have little faith in Ronald Curry today. I could get 3 catches and 1 TD from a hobbled Fitzgerald. A healthy Curry might give me 3 catches and 0 TDs.
sooo screwed right now..im down by 40 with gore, kitna finsihing, jonesdrew, grant and vikes D, winslow, colston(who hasn't done shit)fitzgerald
