JETS Pennington hits receivers, and Mangini doesn?t miss anything TOM ROCK; ARTHUR STAPLE August 4, 2006 The Jets played a situational, non-contact scrimmage last night, and two things were apparent: Chad Pennington continues to emerge as the leader of the offense, and Eric Mangini's hunger for details may in fact be bottomless. With the team divided into green and white squads, Pennington became the first quarterback in this camp to play with the first team on consecutive days. Splitting time with the "starters" with Brooks Bollinger, Pennington looked sharp, completing 6 of 7 passes for 38 yards, including a TD to Laveranues Coles. He also completed a two-point conversion pass to Tim Dwight. Patrick Ramsey again appeared out of sorts in running the offense. He completed 7 of 12 for 60 yards but was sacked twice and had two delay-of-game penalties. As for Mangini, he made sure virtually every aspect of the scrimmage was a simulation of game conditions. The Jets practiced an overtime coin flip when the squads were tied at 20 at the end of regulation. Mangini brought out the chains to measure for a first down at one point, even though the sideline markers lacked chains. Some details do get overlooked. Bottom line Mangini's standards may be strict, but his scheduling is not. Adhering to what he called a "magic schedule," he canceled today's practice. Abracadabra!
well, to be fair, it is in newsday. not saying he did or didn't copy it from JI, but it is in newsday. http://www.newsday.com/sports/footb...39947aug04,0,7553996.story?coll=ny-jets-print
Same title and all. The best part is that JR is banned from JI yet he still goes there for his info.
i am not banned at ji? never doubt me *wink wink* anyway can we please talk about the news in the thread
Give the dude a break, I think the info in this thread is more important then his copy and paste. So let me get this right every time he posts, you run over to Ji to see where he got it from ? Riiiiiiggghhhhtttt. With that said, go pennington.
i never plagerized mistermoss i was giving his info to another jets mb grow up this is not high school where you have to cite everything
Yeah, it is kind of lame though. You did that yesterday with KRL's camp reports as well; copied that one line to every other message board as your own. Original thoughts are much more interesting, JMHO......
"Giving" his info without giving credit is plagiarizing. Main Entry: pla?gia?rize Pronunciation: 'plA-j&-"rIz also -jE-&- Function: verb Inflected Form(s): -rized; -riz?ing Etymology: plagiary transitive verb : to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source intransitive verb : to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source - pla?gia?riz?er noun
Yes, you do have to site material that comes from a source outside of you. For the record, when you copied a section of my report word-for-word onto JN, you did not cite/credit me, or even link. No mention, and that is wrong of you. Call me a baby, but that's a standard on pretty much all internet forums.
there is nothing i hate more about this board than the english teacher police that seem to be lurking at all times. come on. grow up people. we are here to have fun discussing football, not to use certified MLA citation format.
