He'd be a good fit for this offense and Tanner Morgan was god awful this year so it was tough to gauge. Big possession receiver although a little bit stiff in his hips IMO. I've seen Keenan Allen comparisons in terms of play style which we need.

Our QB is the biggest issue.

The Jets offense was better with Joe Flacco.

I was going to put Cooks but he's produced a ton even though he's a concussion away from eating out of a straw.

dumb ass that’s exactly my issue... those teams had fucking studs on them that made it easier on the young QBs.

that avatar is going to your head. Fields is Geno 2.0.

Eh, definitely not playing at full speed yet, but it takes time for rookie WR's. He's a long strider too, so it's never gonna look as fast as Tyreek Hill obviously. Fair to be a pessimist, but the guys is objectively fast.

Anyways...Fields looked fantastic against Clemson but tonight's performance wasn't inspiring. Was hoping it'd be clear after this game but really unsure where we go...

And just as importantly, Fields isn't as thin or narrow-framed as Wilson and hasn't had rotator cuff surgery on his throwing shoulder already.

Fields did not look good at all tonight. Injury or not. Not great at all...

Yeah you're right, dude sucks for throwing to the best player player in college football when he's open. Nevermind.

It’s close.. on one hand you can get a bounty of picks(1st/1st/2nd) for trading #2 to a team like Cinci or Atlanta grab Devonta Smith at 4 or 5 and a 2nd for Darnold to build a team before you add a FQB.

    Or

You draft a FQB at #2 in Fields and get a coach like Doug Perderson that would be perfect for him and build around him.

Both options hold a lot of weight and JD needs to figure this all out.. Man it just would of been easier getting 1 overall and Lawrence LOL

Zero chance Smith is even there at 5.

    Atlanta could trade out

Unless the QB your looking at is a sure thing (NFL sure thing) I don't think you burn a #2 overall this early in our rebuild. That's a call JD is getting paid big bucks to make!

The pick has to be smith or chase. Not sure when but that’s it.

    Douglas isn't taking a WR at 2.

He’s done alright and it was never about one game anyway....I’m sure it will come out about what type of injury he’s playing with

You have to meet with him and watch every single play and decide does he have a legit shot to be our franchise QB? This game or the Clemson game isn’t going to matter in the NFL

The thing is, if the QB is a problem, there are no other problems that are bigger. Period. That doesn't necessarily mean Fields is the answer, but if we think that we have bigger fish to fry than the QB, then we aren't paying attention to literally every successful team in the NFL.
