I’m not for fields at 2 and never was

but I will say this to be fair

    he’s definitely hurt

definitely broken or deep bruised ribs

I’m just trying to be fair here

Yes. Allen has been nowhere near as bad as Darnold.

There's no way. Somebody will trade back into the 1st to get him.

People are underestimating how good he's been this year because his receivers are outrageous, but he still put up incredible numbers and played amazing in both playoff games.

Agreed. This Bama D is also not as elite as years last.

    By the way..

    Devin Smith
    Will Fuller
    Sterling Shepard
    John Ross
    Odell Beckham Jr.
    Marquise Lee
    Kendall Wright
    Titus Young

A bit harder to find the ones who are often injured and didn't make it. But they certainly exist.

Fields is definitely playing hurt. The kid has heart and talent. He looked better tonight than he did vs NorthWestern and Indiana. It’s a tough call to be honest. I can see the argument both ways.

I find it funny how some posters are willing to give Darnold all the slack in the world when he's got 3 years under his belt and looks worse than he did as a rookie, but are so quick to rip Fields.

And as I type this, Fields throws a perfect backshoulder throw for a touchdown. That's an NFL level throw. He should be the pick at 2.

I think Fields is the 2nd pick whether it's us or a team that wants to trade up for him. I could see Atlanta having serious interest. Fields is a hometown guy and I don't think we'd need an insane return to go from 2 to 4.

Field has great pocket awareness and good ball placement

Not a bad point to raise, but he also has ten more touchdowns than Wilson and six less interceptions over that time frame. Wilson was in a timeshare his first couple years.

Fields is definitely hurt. Still, he's showing heart and not panicking. Showing good pocket presence. Alabama's defense is better than Clemson's. Losing Sermon really hurt them, enabling Alabama to key more on Fields.

He’s not playing tonight, but would Bateman be a good WR in an offense led by Fields?

I still think Fields is a very good prospect and would be happy if we go that route.

I don’t think there’s any slam dunk as far as the QB direction so JD has his work cut out for him to think about every option possible

I said fields at this moment is much better than Sam
    No doubt
    Love accuracy
    Love escape - ability
    Love his IQ

but we have so so so many problems to address

most QB’s are better than Sam too...

Brandin Cooks and Percy Harvin fit the bill, I think.
