I'll start with guard because I feel the situation is a little more dire than most think. I know we signed Josh Myers to an extension but I personally would rather move Joe Tippman back to C & focus on both guard spots. I hope we don't even consider keeping John Simpson. At this point, anyone could be better. He's done. Obviously AVT on a very team friendly short-term extension is a possibility. Day 3 guys that I'd like NYJ to consider; Beau Stephens (Iowa) 6-5 315. Would be 24yrs old next November. Projected 4-5 round. Can't go wrong with Iowa O-linemen. Reminds me of Mason McCormick & what he's been able to do for the Steelers recently. Chase Bisontis (Texas A&M) 6-5 315. On the younger side as a true junior. Projected 4-5 round. From Don Bosco Prep in NJ so would be sort of a homecoming. Day 2 maybe; Cayden Green (Missouri). 6-5 320. Jr. Back end of round 3. Currently in the OT group, but looking more like guard. I like me some SEC players.
Bisontis interests me. I’ve seen him projected as high as the second round. He seemed to have a rough game on Saturday but overall A&M’s line has been fantastic all year. Tippman got abused yesterday unfortunately.
