    This is a shame. I hope he pulls thru this. Despite him kicking our asses for years, I've always respected him as a competitor.

    what a fukin shame - these head and neck cancers can be very difficult to deal with. wonder if he was a big chewing tobacco user.

    Awful. Boomer was talking aout it yesterday, I think they are pretty good friends. I also think he said Kelly's wife has said the cancer is pretty aggressive and has spread which is the worst news.

    I believe he was, I did read something positive from the doctor treating him yesterday though. basically said this is treatable they just can't operate now and have to use chemo/radiation to fight it.

    Once it has spread and is no longer a localized tumor, surgery can't get to the root problem. Our doctors likened it to pulling out a weed, said you can pull them all day but if you don't treat the entire lawn they are just going to keep coming up.

    Sucks.
