Normally I wouldnt pay much attention to mocks but Casserly is a guy who's opinion I value..and since he worked a little with the Jets this offseason I think he might have a little inside info.

Anyways he gets to the Jets pick and Mariota is still available.

He then says Cleveland trades up to get him but didnt mention what they would give up , only that they have two 1st rounders this year (picks 12 and 19).

Lets assume this is the case , would those 2 picks be enough in your mind in a trade back scenario with Cleveland? Maybe they throw in a 2nd next year too?

We could most likely do BPA at each pick and shore up the oline and possibly OLB/WR if one falls.

Before FA I would have been all for it. Now we have a 3 year window and need production now, Mariota could be that qb change that could be the difference maker on this team.

    12- Beasley
    19 - Green-Beckham

    or

    12- White
    19-dupree

that would give me a woody. if mariotta is at 6 thougn, i dont see us trading down.

The 12 and 19 would very much so be enough in a draft class as talented as this one.

No. Go the QB or the Blue Chip OLB

I'd take that in a fartbeat. Only move down 6 spots, get an extra 1st.

Would be interesting. If they did that, I'd like Schreff and Melvin Gordon. Then go after a linebacker with the 37 pick.

Or trade the 37 pick and a 3rd rounder and move back into 1st round and get Green-Beckham

This draft class isn't talented at all. The Seahawks traded out of the first round because they only gave out 16 first round grades, most analysts are giving about that many.

Huh? You can't acknowledge that some classes are more talented than others? Outside the top 15 this one is garbage according to most people who are paid to dissect draft classes.

I'm still not sold on Mariota but obviously see the need at QB. I'd either take him or the best pass rushing OLB at that spot. Prior to free agency I thought we could trade down and get a good OT or CB or something and while we haven't dramatically improved our line by any stretch of the imagination adding a step in difference maker to go along with all the other difference makers we brought in would be pretty impressive.

I think the Seahawks traded out of the first round because they got Jimmy Graham, but that's just me. I don't think any analysts are only giving out 16 first round grades. There are 5-6 receivers alone who many think are first round worthy.

Yeah, no big difference between the 6th pick and the 31st. WTF.

If you're a team with bad QB play & see a solid QB prospect, you must take him. The only reason to pass/skip/trade-out is because the management feels Mariotta can't make it.

We won't go defense. QB, WR or RB depending on where we are picking..bet on it.
