i don't know if this has been posted, and forgive my ignorance, but is cedric's nickname cardiac? "With Curtis Martin's career in doubt because of a knee injury -- and after last week's attempted trade for Lee Suggs fell through -- the Jets are left with Blaylock, Washington and Cardiac Houston in the mix at running back." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap;_ylt=AhQzG8Dtbp79zUkK2uZAlgFDubYF?gid=20060819028
I'd rather stick with these 3 at the running game. Nothing like using fresh legs in the 4th quarter anyway.
Wow, great proofreading there. I guess the new method of copyediting is letting MS Word decide how to spell all words. Unbelievable.
I used to know a guy who worked as a subeditor (also known as a copy editor or proof-reader) on a paper called the Daily Mail. They were about to go to press when someone noticed a story on the sports pages. It was about the great Formula One driver Nigel Mansell, and someone had used a spell-check programme and simply accepted all changes without reading them first. The software had turned 'Nigel Mansell' into 'Niggle Mainsail'. It had also turned the racing track 'Silverstone' into a joint of beef - 'Silverside'. Sadly, the mistakes were caught and changed before the paper went to press. I think the sub involved may have been invited to explore opportunities elsewhere.
Typo or not, that nickname suits him. If he keeps fumbling the ball like that, look for the heart attack rate in NY to skyrocket.
