Hey all. I know people love to post YouTube links in threads, and whenever I'm home, that's great. Some are really funny. Some are informative. All good. Anyway, the problem I have is at work. They don't open here, but the browser just keeps trying to get to the video, so the traffic coming from my computer is getting really up there. At some point I'm going to get cut off. So is there any way for me to turn off YouTube links in threads so that my browser doesn't try to open them? I really want to read the threads, but those videos are killing me (especially in the "Election '08" thread, where just about every page has at least one YouTube video on it).
I think you go to User CP, click options on the left side, then unclick where it says allow images. Murrell probably knows more about it thou but give that a try anyway.
Thanks Murrell, sorry I didn't put it here to begin with. To be honest, I just forgot this forum. I know the image swtich doesn't do it. I've tried that already.
Alio - not sure if this will do the trick or not, but check out this firefox extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3145
Thanks for that. It looks like it would work. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to install Firefox at work. That would do the trick.
m in the same boat as Alio, we contractually have to use Internet Explorer furthermore YouTube is among mang blocked sites at work.
