In real life and on facebook I've seen a bunch of Non-football fans get really 'excited' about the Giants winning. Don't you guys feel like these same people wouldn't really get into the Jets making it? To me, that's a good thing. I feel like the Jets fans have more of a tight knit community that doesn't really attract all these phonies who suddenly have an interest in football when the Super Bowl rolls around.
It was also attractive to non football fans because of the pats undefeated season crap.... and the Giants being huge underdogs.
True, but there are also a LOT of people that live in NY that don't give a shit about football that jumped on the Giants bandwagon for Superbowl just cuz they live here.
dude, I already saw it happening in 1998 with all the phonies that were just beginning to come out of the woodwork.
Yeah true, but I couldn't care less about them. The Patriots lost and it is great. I see your point though and the point of this thread now. The answer: Probably.
It's anti Patriots. I don't think there are that many people that are just so happy for the Giants. People are so happy that the Patriots lost.
Most of America wanted to see this team fall. Nobody likes a winner, let alone a classless, cheating winner.
