Both are 1-1. Pats play: @ Baltimore @ Buffalo vs. Denver @ Seattle Jets play: @Miami vs. SF vs. Houston vs. Indy Three tough road games and Peyton Manning. Jets get two of the best teams in the NFL, but at home, which helps their chances. Imagine the Pats being 3-3 and the Jets as well or 4-2. This stretch is pretty damn important for both teams, and the path for the Jets is a lot easier than the Pats at the end of the year.
Hard to see "better than" unless the Patriots truly are significantly worse. I would think the Pats lose at Baltimore this week and win the other 3, even though all 3 are difficult games. All 4 games are difficult to some degree, but it's hard for me to pick Tom Brady to lose to more than 1 or 2 of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco and a weakened Peyton Manning. If the two teams were of equal quality, I would rather have the Jets schedule. But I still think the Patriots are better objectively right now. Both teams have a lot to prove after last week. I would guess the Jets go 2-2 or 3-1 in that group. Beat Miami and Indy and split the two tough home games.
The thing I got excited about when I looked at the Pats schedule is unlike the last 2 years, after the final Jets-Pats games, the Pats DO NOT have an easy schedule. The last 2 years the Pats won out and we all saw it coming, this year though they got the Texans and 49ers late in December which could give us a lot of hope if we are a game or so behind.
Only if they wanted to win games that due to whatever circumstance during the game .....they would normally lose....sort of like last week....
Why because the Bills look really strong against Kansas city ? Or because the patriots will overcome the fact that they are getting older at a key position? buck up!
The PATS have no walk in the park schedule this year (finally) . . . Lets hope we can take advantage of this to SOME extent.
Love the enthusiasm. It will be interesting to see this offense without hernandez. I'm also curious to see that Pats defense play against Flacco and a good raven offense. The jets need a good game this week to get confidence going into a tough two game stretch in weeks 4 and 5. 2-1 in the next 3 games would be very solid and would really make things interesting.
That big Thanksgiving home showdown is going to be what's it's all about! That game will define our season and theirs. I reckon we'll be pretty close to even at that point. But it all starts this weekend. The Patriots have a very losable game and we have a very winnable one. We need an early lead to keep this division. The Patriots luck streak has run out. :gpc:
