with the threads that start with (Blank) is visiting the Jets???? First, I doubt the Jets will sign any significant free agents. I maybe wrong about this, but isn't the Jets MO is watch all the front line FA sign first and maybe even a second line FA pool sign next...and then wait and see if the market falls back to them. The Antoine Winfield debacle has me jaded whenever I hear how close they are to signing someone. Bradway could never finish the deal, and I'm not not confident Tannenbaum can as well. I don't count Ty Law because the Jets were basically bidding against themselves, so it was obvious he was going to sign. Until someone who can help this team now, please don't get my hopes up.
anyone can visit its part of free agency.do you buy everything you look at while shopping? we are going to sign a few free agents without a doubt but they will be cost effective measures i do not see us making a big splash in the market.
if its that big of deal. dont read it.....its the 2nd day of free agency and you dont expect people to post rumours
I've been on the outside looking in for the past few days for the same reason. Every thread is about which player to draft or not or about which FA to sign or not. However, if you are looking for your daily JET fix then that is what you will have to deal with. Understand that there is NOTHING else going on this time of year if you are a football fan so you will see the exzct same thread posted over and over again with the only diff. being the name of the player in the heading.
I know. Can we stop with the threads about stopping with the threads about <insert whiney complaint here>. You have only your own compulsive disorder to blame for clicking on them.
First of all, ouch! Looks like Abyzmul has some competition for Meanest Poster next year! Secondly, I think this free agency period simply has to be different compared to the ones of recent memory. Remember we have new guys with their finger on the trigger when it comes to FA deals. Whereas Bradway (and to some extent Herm) were historically hesitant during this time of year, the Tan-Gini duo hopefully understands a good draft requires aggressive FA moves to complement it.
Aggressive: doing what it takes to secure the services of guys you want in areas of need. i.e. not letting something similar to the Winfield situation reoccur.
Until he was signed by the Panthers I had hoped our FO would make a run for Kemoeatu. He didn't even come as expensive as some here suggested. Now, if the FO is committed to the 3-4 as resports suggest, we need to throw some money at either Sam Adams or Grady Jackson (FAST) so we can pick up the fat-assed NT we desperately need. Josh McCown is the other guy I want. He may not have set the world on fire at AZ, but is young, has shown potential and seems trainable. I would rather spend the money on him than Kitna (a historically poor decison maker) and let him compete with Chad/Bolly for the number one. Hell, I could live with Ramsey in the same situation (for much less money), but you wanted my 2 cents. I like this move move because I'm not sold on either Young or Cutler at #4 (where I want Ferguson) and don't think we'll have a shot at Leinart (who I think will be pretty damn good in the future).
