Considering some of the offseason moves we have made, we might have to revisit this discussion. I think he might be a bit better as a 3-4 end than Drob would, but both lack ideal height. If we trade Drob, is this even a consideration? Or is this tradeing an apple for an apple? In some eyes Dorsey has dropped.

I wouldn?t want to spend th 6th pick finding out if dorsey can or can not be a good 34 DE. The problem is, if he can?t what do we do with him? If we wanna draft a DE i?d rather pick someone like Moore or Sims in the 2nd, they seem much better fits.

I wouldn't even bother thinking about it. It'd be pick that nobody could justify.

Apple for an Apple. I would bet money that DRob is better as a 3-4 End than Dorsey, its just a matter of experience.

I'm just trying to figure out our plan if Gholston, DMC and both Longs aren't there. If we can't reasonably trade down, what is our move? Mendenhall? Best corner or OT? Dorsey?

I would assume lots of crying and wrist slitting, followed with a pick for the secondary. Flowers, Phillips, Talib, McKelvin, someone. That's what the FO seems to be after. If they go absolute BPA I would expect Mendenhall. The FO seems set on getting a RT in FA and seems to be pursuing corners, though not that aggressively and there aren't any good enough to be our #2. The Jets interviewed and scouted a decent amount of corners and safeties at the combine if I remember correctly, so I would assume them going after their #1 rated secondary player or Mendenhall. Kellen Clemens is their guy so I wouldn't expect a QB, they obviously want a TE but there is none anywhere near worth taking at #6, and there are no really viable DE, ILB or OLB prospects available at that point. We would have solidified our offensive line, leaving us with our secondary, which is not a weakness, however Mangini seems to want it to be our major strength. I guess with two corners and safeties that are good enough, it frees you up to blitz more because you can feel more comfortable leaving the cover men "on an island", so to speak.

So secondary or Mendenhall. Personally, I would want to reach anyway and just take Stewart since we may be taking a RB anyway, but hey that's why I'm not in the NFL.

Best WR or Saftey in there as well. If Gholston and both Longs are gone, the Jets need to take the player with the highest grade on thier board if they can't trade down.

    Gholston/Long at DE/OLB or Mendenhanll/McFadden/Stewart at RB >>>>>>> Dorsey at 3-4 DE

    BPA.

For the money for Dorsey, wouldn't he be about the same as Robertson? Let D-rob try to play end and draft someone else instead.
