Now Newton has tested positive for the covid-19. The Chiefs-Patriots game has been pushed back to later date, either Monday or Tuesday. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...atriots-qb-cam-newton-tests-positive-covid-19
Atlanta had a guy test positive last week and the games went on. This is just bigger news because it’s cam.
Unreal. What are they going to do now. Are they waiting for a star player to die before calling it quits on the season? Cases have been climbing back up all over the country. It's looking and feeling like deja vu from March. Now is not the time to be traveling from state to state. The NFL needs to pause and work on a bubble before more players get infected. If they can't figure out how then end the season and try again next year.
and the practice squad/scout team qb for the chiefs tested positive today. He was playing g the cam role in practice for Kansas City this week. Talking about diving into your role.
Thats right!!..why couldn't they follow what Basketball and Baseball were doing keeping things around one controlled area?? Roger Goodell is useless
PFT is reporting Patriots-Chiefs has been moved to tomorrow night at 7. No word on Newton's playing status. He can't possibly be allowed to play right? I hope the Chiefs blow their doors off.
I think it is ostensibly to get the results from a next round of tests. This is crazy. What would the NFL do if this was 3 days before the SB? Is this just treated as any other illness? What if it was 2... 4... 6... 8... 10... players?
