I think I just heard that the Ravens have fired their OC Cam Cameron. Still looking for a link though.
Five years is a long run for an offensive coordinator. He did ok with what he had. If he'd done great with it he'd still be the offensive coordinator.
The Ravens are probably worried that their window for a Super Bowl is closing with the Ray Lewis era ending. They're in "just get it done" mode right now. They're not going to pay Joe Flacco like he's a great QB when they have to make that decision in a year. They're probably thinking tear the whole thing down and rebuild in 2014. It's the kind of constructive panic that will get an organization over the top instead of aimlessly drifting until the ceiling closes in on them.
Cam Cameron FIRED Now here is some thing I find curious,,,I don't know if this was justified or not you would have to ask Raven fans that question,,,,that said the Ravens are still in first place on top of their division yet with 3 weeks left the felt it neccessary to make a bold move like this and shake things up . Then you come to our beloved Jets,,, we screamed for them to fire Schotty ( years it took ) and now we are stuck with Sporano who in my eyes clearly is not the answer but part of OUR problem and I wont mention the qb or any other players that clearly deserve to be sat down,,,,but the difference between 2 organizations and how they go about business. I know people talk alot about stability and staying the course but you can also say that a kick in the ass or firing like this will make others take notice! We will see how this move works out for the Ravens
No thanks. Here's a guy who got fired because he kept forgetting (Oops!) to give the ball to Ray Rice. During his tenure, the Ravens had more than a handful of close games where a healthy Rice got 10 carries...12 carries. Guy couldn't or wouldn't utilize on of the top weapons in the league. No thanks.
the Ravens are not content with inconsistent or average play. the Jets are afraid to make any change whatsoever and are content with mediocrity as long as it doesn't rock the boat.
...again, this from the franchise that chose not to hire Rex Ryan as their head coach despite knowing him very, very well. HMMMM!!. That front office knows a thing or two about running a football organization, hats off to them, even if they are not winning super bowls every season, they are consistently contending. I'm so damn jealous.
this is what i take it as. its all about winning and performing to their best. for the jets it seems to be about posturing and not looking bad. oh ozzie newsome how i wish you were ours. it may just blow up in his face, but i applaud them for making a move they felt they needed to make even if the ramifications could be drastic.
When a guy gets canned during the season like this, there's usually something else at play, like a fight with Harbaugh, or some sh*t. Maybe he ate at hotdog on the sidelines during the game.
That the key word... There front office know how to run a football organization. Give Rex the talent the Ravens have and I bet we would over take the Pats. Is it Rex fault that Tanny doesn't know talent?
Cam Cameron is Garbage as a coach and as it turns out an offensive coordinator as well. Got to be a rift for it to happen at this stage of the season on a team that will definitely be making the playoffs. The Raven Front office has established that they have good talent evaluators bringing in good players. The coaching staff is winning games and the head coach in particular is soft spoken and not a bull horn blaring for all to hear. How does this relate the Jets? If anyone suggest this scrub should come here , your insane. Hes worse then sparano!
Schotty was better than Sparano. You guys wanted him gone, you got him gone. When you drive out Sanchez and the next guy is worse, I'll be sure to remind you guys, too. Reminds me of the folks clammoring for Matt Robinson and Joe Walton back in the old days....
