From GGN, hey, its advertised on the right.

"In a long awaited move, according to Conor Orr, the New York Jets have released OLB Calvin Pace, OT Jason Smith, and S Eric Smith. TE Josh Baker has also been waived. By my estimation, this should free up approximately $24,000,000 in cap space, obviously a tremendous amount."

He won't be kept at his current price. If he renegotiates for this year he may be kept.

In other news, the sky is blue.

No surprise here with these moves.

Thought Baker might have fit pretty well as a TE/FB... maybe he hasn't recovered? Oh well, happy about the other cuts.
Not sure about Scott, he's good enough to warrant a vet min type deal... but he's one of the leading acts in the Jets "circus" and I'm not sure I want him here.

Why didn't Jets cut Bart Scott? His agent has a meeting with #Jets Thursday. They could work out a deal if he'll take a pay cut. We'll see

Not yet we don't. 4 million under the cap with multiple FAs to sign and holes to fill won't cut it. I expect Bart Scott to be released and resigned or restructured, but we still have a ways to go before even thinking about paying Revis.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw that list. I hope they don't get too sentimental, Bart is a liability in pass coverage whenever he is on the field.

    Rotoworld Writeup on Scott:

Jets ILB Bart Scott will meet with the team on Thursday regarding a possible pay-cut.

Scott wasn't part of the Jets' initial cap purge on Tuesday, but will join Calvin Pace and company on the street soon enough if he isn't willing to dramatically slash his scheduled $6.9 million salary. Releasing Scott would free up roughly $8 million in cap space, so it's possible no amount of haggling will save his job. Scott wasn't a liability in 2012, but is no longer an impact player.

I'm not sure what they were watching...
