The more I'm reading about Mosley, the more I love this trade. And how we wound up getting an extra undisclosed pick out of the deal is beyond me. This guy can start right now and make an impact. How can anyone not like this trade? I've always liked "Brooksie," as Herm used to call him (what an idiotic nickname for a head coach in the NFL to call one of his QB's), and I'll best remember him for what he did exactly one year ago. Remember the Eagles preseason game, 2005? We were down pretty bad and Brooks came in and orchestrated quite a number of drives. Okay, it was all garbage time, but he still caused a lot of excitement. Fans were so sick and tired of draw plays on 3rd and 15 that he really sparked us! He has his flaws, however. I'm not particularly fond of his size. His passes have a better chance of being batted down than other, taller QBs. He has a penchant for regularly abandoning the play somewhat early and then taking off for parts unknown. True, he can give a defense fits initially with this, but in the long run it's not what you're looking for in a QB. You want your QB to be able to consumate the pass-play, not be scrambling around on every other down, running for his life and inviting injury. No, I think this trade is excellent. Hats off to Tangini on this one!
Was that not two years ago? Maybe my memory fails me. Edit: The game I'm thinking of was 2 years ago - three 4th quarter TDs to win by one: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20040903_PHI@NYJ
Maybe that was two years ago... time flies. I notice Lamont Jordan rushed for 61 yards on 12 carries that game... 5 yards per carry. What part of that got past Herm? He pretty much sat the guy on the bench all that fall. Geez....
It was 2 years ago we came back to win. I don't remember who, but someone got an interception to seal the deal with under a minute to go in that game. This past year we killed the Eagles like 42-7 with Bollywood leading the way again. EAGLE KILLER!!!!
