So we couldn't have a sportschannel on without hearing about today's activity.
    So Kitna's a Lion
So TO and Keyshawn are looking for work
    So Culpepper is a Dolphin
    So Brees is a Saint
    So what?

I think NO will entertain offers for the #2 pick, but I think ultimately they'll keep it and draft Leinart. The Brees deal is essentially a one yr agreement; because, he will be due BIG $$ next March. And which Brees are they getting? The one of the last two seasons? The one before that? Or damaged goods? Parcells liked Brees and Payton learned from Parcells. But I recall Parcells liking Glenn Foley and wanting to draft Rick Mirer instead of Bledsoe.

I just feel that everything is smoke and mirrors. If Woody and Mangini want us to be Patriots South than we're not going for superstars. We'll pick good hard working players who can fit a system and become stars.

There's not an area that does NOT need improving on our team. QB, RB, FB (can Askew be it?), TE (no Baker? Jolley? Dressen? They didn't get Campbell), 3-4 scheme guys, secondary, O-line.

I don't know if they'll take D'Brick. The Parcells school abhors high OL picks. I'm still thinking we trade down, and stockpile. I think we're hoping for a 1st rounder for J. Abe, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's wearing green & white #56 on opening day and has to prove his worth before the 2006 trade deadline.

Keep the pick and draft Leinart? 40% of their cap will be tied up in QB money if they do that. I agree that they might not take Dbirck, but they could certainly use a top tier LB like Hawk. Either Leinart is taken by the Titans or a team trading up.

After I read you said the Saints would draft Matt Leinart I stopped. It's not like the Saints signed Brees to a 60 million dollar contract to smoke screen for Matt Leinart! Everyone in the NFL knows they have their QB and they will NOT be looking to draft one #2 overall.

The Saints will either stay and take Brick, Williams or Hawk. They will more than likely get a deal done though as someone will want Matt Leinart...COUGH the jets COUGH
