From a reliable source with inside knowledge on the NFL has told me that it's possible Reggie Bush will be on the board when the Jets draft at #4. He says that it looks like Texas will either trade down to #2 or #3 and take D'Brickshaw, including whatever other picks they can get.

He told me that as late as yesterday, it looks like the following:

    1. Saints- Matt Leinart
    2. Texans- D'Brickshaw
    3. Titans- Vince Young
    4. Jets- Reggie Bush

Would you take Reggie at #4 or trade down?

My guess is that Bush could demand alot of money and eventhough he stated once that he wouldn't mind playing for the Jets, I think we would or should trade down and get as many players.

Saints pick 1, but the Titans pick 2? And then the Texans pick 3?
    Hmm....how does that work out.

We haven't had pro day workouts yet. Anything you hear up to this point is just NFL spin to serve whatever purpose. If someone gives the Texans the right offer to move into a spot for Reggie Bush, they're going to take it. No actual deals are in place.

Agreed, that's why I stated in my post that "it's possible", not saying it's going to happen.

The Texans ARE NOT going to take Matt Leinart, so again, I am going to have to bust you.

Despite the fact that I think there's about a .00001% chance of this happening (I don't see why the Saints would trade up for Leinart since the Texans probably aren't picking a QB), I would take Bush in a heartbeat, regardless. A lot of people aren't sure whether he can carry the full load of being the featured back, but I think that Curtis can teach him a few things and help him to get his sea legs.

Only case where I wouldn't pick him would be if one team basically gives us their draft for him in a desperation move.

I think he's saying the Saints are trading up to take Leinart

I know, I just don't want people to get out of control here. Lots of newbie chicken littles that overreact to everything, it's tiresome. We may see "Since we are now getting Reggie Bush..." posts popping up, because people lack reading comprehension.

How many times are we going to keep hearing about how the Texans are trading down, and Bush will end up falling to #4???...PLEASE....

Bush is going #1 OVERALL. It doens't matter which team will be drafting him{assuming the Texans trade down}, he wont fall out of the #1 spot...

The Jets better get their OL fixed before worrying about a RB, or a QB for that matter. D'Brick is the Jets best option at #4....

    Later...

Its not possible. Saints wouldnt trade up to select Leinart when the Texans wont pick him at #1.
Even if the trade did happen the Texans would still pick Bush in the #2 spot.
They only way possible that Bush could fall to #4 is if the Texans go with Young at #1, the Saints stick with Leinart and the Titans have a brain spasm and select Cutler.
This is as much as a fairy tale as your scenario.

There is no way in hell this will ever happen. The Saints are in perfect position to get either Matt or Reggie. Either way its a homerun. I dont see them giving up picks to get one or the other.
