Kinda funny, despite the stupidity of carrying a gun in public, if he was just lucky enough to not hit the trigger trying to catch it, he'd be playing for the Giants right now. If he would have grabbed any other part of the gun he'd be fine. Bad luck is amazing, huh? Tough shit, enjoy prison.

    Free Plax.

Another in a long line of Political Prisoners being persecuted for enjoying their constitutionally protected right to bear Arms.

    ...

Yes. That's why he's in prison. Because of responsible gun ownership. I'm a big proponent of the 2nd Amendment, but the guy carried a loaded gun with the safety off and a round in the chamber into a nightclub. I feel no pity for him.

Oh, and before you bring up that the 2nd Amendment doesn't have a clause for "responsible gun ownership", our framers also didn't have self-propellant bullets. In other words, no chance of the kind of accidents we see today.

Yeah, this kinda sucks for Giants fans. Buress sure is paying a price for his mishap.

You think the framers didn't believe that States have the right to regulate arms?

    Even Scalia believes they do.

Maybe he can offer the hole in his leg as a option instead.

Seriously though, I doubt anyone is messing with him, he's not exactly Pat Sajak.

Still think 2 years is a joke for the crime he commited... one year would've been plenty enough...

Personally I think concealed weapons should be outlawed outright. That said, I don't understand why gun owners who are interested in protecting gun rights would be okay with gun owners carrying concealed weapons with bullets in the chamber with no clue about gun safety being allowed on the streets?

This is the reason the NRA and gun rights advocates in general can't be taken seriously on gun safety. They don't really give a crap about gun safety they really want to be able to recreate a modern day Dodge city where everyone is packing heat.

NYC is now one of the safest cities in the US specifically because they took guns off the street and out of public housing.

Plax went to a minimum security prison and will be out in 18 months. I feel bad for him but the law is clear and he is a douche for not just carrying but being clueless on how to carry safely.

Where did you hear that? I heard it would be 6-8 weeks before he is finally in the prison where he will do his time. Right now he is in Rikers Island which is only the first stop. They also said he could get out in 20 months, not 18.
