Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have some interest in New York Jets backup QB Brooks Bollinger. Bollinger has a fan in Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Paul Hackett, the Jets' former offensive coordinator.

    Make it happen.

The thought of even getting something for Bollinger is awesome.

I don't like this. Until Pennington can prove he can take a hit, and I mean for the whole season, we need to keep 4 QB's. Clemens doesn't even count, he'll never see a regular season snap this year. We'de be giving him away for nothing. I don't see how that helps the team at all.

In Madden I pulled off Bollinger and a 7th for Simms.

I'd take a hefty sandwich for the guy. With a soda to be named later. Anything more I'd feel guilty.

I actually think thats not terrible, though I wouldn't give up a 4th round pick... maybe a 6th.

I agree completely. Right now we have 3 1/2 QB's... Penny is one good sack away from another visit to the surgeon's office. For the little compensation you'll get for Bolly, keep him around as a cheap insurance policy until January.

What are you all basing your negative judgment of Bollinger on? Last years performance? The only QB on the NYJets to play multiple games without suffering devistating injury and still score TDs?

I will go on record in saying that I would take Brooks Bollinger over Patric Ramsey any day of the week. In fact, I would take Brooks over many 2nd string QBs in this league today.
