Does anyone know how serious the calf injury is that caused him to leave in the 3rd quarter? Gholston came in and did nothing.....so hoping it was minor and we have him back for next week when we go to the black hole against DMAC (remember all the Jet fans who wanted to trade up to get him).

I'm pretty sure he was back in the game in the 4th quarter.

It would be nice for Gholston to get some real playing time but yeah hopefully it's nothing serious.

Yeah he came back... no biggie. The only concern I have is Jenkins and his back... without Jenkins we are in deep sh1t.

Who'd ever guess that we would one day be legitimately concerned when Bryan Thomas left the field following an injury?

KOZ, I just came into this thread to post the same thing. Most Bryan Thomas injury threads ended with "Good, Now lets see what the other guy can do".

He's not a pro-bowler, but he is the most consistent pass rusher we have, and a pretty damn good one in this 3-4 alignment.

Would you guys think less of me if I expressed my man-love for Calvin Pace, right here and now?

The guy is probably the 2nd biggest addition to the team this year and is constantly pressuring the QB- whether he's going inside or making a nice push around the edge, he's always penetrating. I'm so damm happy that we inked this guy for the next few seasons- he's the real deal.

Pace was a GREAT signing. I was a little wary of it at first, but he's been amazing.

I agree that so far Jenkins and Pace have been the two most impactful signings (and that obviously includes Favre).

i also saw thomas back in the game in the forth. it was probably just a cramp if he could get back in so quickly.

and i also agree with the man love for calvin pace. i was worried that the big contract would cause him to not give it is all. but he has proven me wrong with that. he is in the backfield pretty much every pass. and of course jenkins was huge too. our offense without getting favre would have been much more boring, but passable. the defense without those two guys would have been horrible again.

not only would i not think less of you, but i wanna join you in the man-love for pace dept. i was at the game on sunday and i couldnt take my eyes off him. his pass rush and constant backfield presence are glorious. him and jenkins came in and immediately made themselves the key members of the D. i hope gholston can develop into the player pace is (its a possibility, considering pace went through the same adjustment in positioning and took time to get there)

I wouldn't mind the man love so much if it weren't followed by <player name> and always penetrating.

Other than that, Pace has been outstanding. We can only hope Gholston turns out to be like him.

bryan thomas is not injured. But i think putting gholston in more this week would be a great idea. were playing probably the worst team in the nfl next week and this may be our only chance to see what gholston can do without sacrificing a loss due to poor play.
and no more calvin pace-man-love.....its getting wierd.
