Wow this would shake things up a little.

Doubt it would happen but with the QB's the Browns signed it would be a smart decision I dont know next years draft class well but I haven't heard anything special about the QBs in it. Besides the guy from Washington.

The Rams are going to hold a King's ransom on that pick....

The top 2 QBs next year will be much better prospects than any of the Qbs in this draft. Boy the Browns really screwed the pooch in trading away the rights to Sanchez for essentially nothing.

well from the Rams standpoint it would make perfect sense if they are high on Clausen as opposed to bradford...

Drop back from 1 to 7, pick up some extra players, then snag Clausen at 7.

Although if the guy they want QB wise is Bradford, they shouldnt trade the pick for anything less than a Mike Ditka deal...

I can't see it happening.. the browns are better off waiting for locker next year.

If the Rams drop back, pick up a couple of extra picks from Cleveland, AND get Clausen, we're going to look back at 4/22/10 as the day they turned that franchise around.

Not necessarily. They may have Clausen rated high, and it's been rumored they've been looking to possibly trade down.

I don't know about that, the extra picks are meaningless if they get the QB wrong which I think they would be doing by taking Clausen, who has bust written all over him. I'm not at all convinced about Bradford either but feel he has a better chance to make it than Clausen does.

I think the Rams would be better off skipping the QB altogether this year, gathering the extra picks and hope they are in position to get Locker next year.

I'm willing to bet another quarterback will be rated higher than Jake Locker in 2011.

Agreed. Getting Clausen and the huge amount of picks they'll need on top of that would put them in a position to succeed. I'd imagine they'd get a 2nd and a 3rd and a 2nd next year, something like that. Six picks in the first 100, five in the first 71 would give them a chance to add some serious players. I know Spagnuolo is a great defensive coach, it'd give him a chance to add actual players to that team. I wouldn't be shocked if they picked five defensive guys in the first 71 if Clausen's gone by 7.

They're actually really well off at a few positions on offense, Center, LG, RB, FB, and Left Tackle (if Jason Smith makes the switch over from RT well). They need a #1 WR, but they have a few decent #2s in Burton and Avery, could use a RG, and of course QB. Their O isn't good, but they're not that bad. The defense has less good players, but the ones they do have are really promising, namely Laurinatis and Atogwe (if he returns).

In fact, if they pull something like:

    1- Joe Haden, CB Florida
    2a- Demaryius Thomas, WR GTech
    2b- Nate Allen, S USF
    3a- Dan LeFevour, QB CMU
    3b- Donald Butler, LB Washington
    4- Jermaine Cunningham, DE Florida

They should be really happy with themselves.
