I realize I left Hill, Wimbley, Sims, & Greenway out of the poll. BUT... The broncos really don't need a LB or CB at all... so here we go... I think Manny Lawson provides a pro-bowl type DE. They need a good D-lineman instead of the whole Browns team. Any of the choices on the poll are realistic though.
Lendale White. Forget about it. The Broncos never refuse a running back that has issues before the draft.
i went with santonio. they have been looking for a new WR for a year or two now. rod smith is pretty much done, and ashlie lelie isnt a #1, nor does he have the talent to be a #1 WR IMO. i dont see them taking a RB in the first round because with them, it doesnt seem to matter who they put in the backfield, it always works out....
I'm going with DeAngelo, because I think he's the BPA. White would probably work better for them, because they need a power back to compliment Bell, and they probably get White at 22. I think White woulds still be a reach at that point too, so instead of hoping DeAngelo falls to 22, they take him here.
They can live without a first round WR. Rod Smith was a pro-bowler last year, Lelie is one of the best deep play WRs in the NFL, and they have Darius Watts who's young too. They need a WR, but it doesn't have to be a first rounder. They can not live with Ron Dayne and Tatum Bell sharing carries.
I honestly believe that Holmes = Lelie. Similar game styles and really Holmes wouldn't be much better then him. I also think White has a great chance to fall to 22 so they take a slight risk and they pass on a RB (Miami- 0 chance for a RB; Minn-has a loaded backfield and signed Chester Taylor who they think can feature; Dallas has Jones and Barber; San Diego- you're kidding right?; Kansas City no way; the Pats are a possibility but Deangelo seems to be more of a franchise running back and is a better fit there). Lendale is a better fit for Denver because they can do a thunder-lightning thing with White and Tatum Bell. I went with a safety because Jon Lynch looked like a superstar on an island by himself at times last season and he is aging. They pick up a strong cover safety to play next to Lynch and this is a guy who can also play corner is certain sets... S Jason Allen, Tennessee
I agree PinPoint...except I THINK they can get Homles at 22  if so, they'll take him....i just dont think so at 15....i'm thinking more on the lines of defense actually Jason Allen
ferguson led all SS's in ints last year so safety is not an immediate need...holmes is too small for a wr and blocking is big in denver for wrs lynch is the guy who needs to be replaced if any....people need to quit voting him to the pro bowl based on his name broncos should trade back a few spots and get back into the 3rd round but to be simple....bpa is williams
Willaims, I think that he will fit will in with Denvers running game, he will be a nice back up to Anderson and Bell. In one or two seasons he should be able to challenge for a starting spot.
