this Wednesday at midnight on ESPN2, they are showing "NFL's Greatest Games"...This one just so happens to be the 1986 Jets v Dolphins AFC Championship game. We all know how it ends, but the Jets of the 80's always bring back memories for me, good or bad. It's fun to watch our old team. Just thought I'd throw that out there, because I already miss watching football.

Is the divisional game against Browns. I watched this last year... brought back lots of bad memories, but also brought some good memories from childhood, like me watching that game with my bro, and nearly breaking my television when Gastineau hit Bernie late... I gotta say, I had forgotten how many other big plays and heartbreaking moments there were in that game, including a dropped INT by Russell Carter right before they kicked the tying FG to send it to OT.
The interviews interspersed throughout the broadcast are very good too... when you watch it, get back to me and tell me you don't think Bernie Kosar is drunk while doing his portion of the interviews...

Man, I love those 80's Jets teams too. Wesley Walker, Johnny Hector, Bruce Harper, Freemen McNeil. We had so many great players it's hard to believe we don't have more to show for it. '82 and '86 were the real heartbreakers.

SE... so true... they were so banged up in that 86 year. I think O'Brien was sacked like 7 times in that game, and Ryan had gotten hurt, and couldn't play, and the big one I forgot, they were down to essentially Tony Paige as the only healthy back. Freeman got poked in the eye, J Hector was hurt, and on that drive with the 10 point lead, one first down wins it, they had no one to hand the ball to! Unreal... Should have had one SB appearance. They should have.

I actually think the 85 team had a better shot, and NEVER should have lost to NE in the wild card round.
