Brian Thomas obviously impressed many of us this year as the teams ROLB. He did everything that was expected of him, and maybe then some for those who thought he wouldn't do all that much.

What should we expect from him in his second season?

Think he'll be blitzed more? His potential as an pass rushing OLB is actually pretty decent. He's fast enough, strong enough, big enough, and a sure enough tackler to get it done.

I look fr him to hit double digit sacks and bump up about 20 tackles - just under 100. Beyond the numbers, though, I think we'll hear a lot about how he is the key to us being able to morph between a 3-4 and a 4-3 at will during a game. He's going to be a key player for us, I'm sure of it.

Well he was blitzed enough last year, but I can see him having a bigger impact on our pass rush game this coming year as he gets even more comfortable in his new role.

Aren't there rumors we're marketing Barton? If that's true, then I see his role increasing...

i could see 10 sacks.. when he finally got comfortable he had a stretch there it seem like he was getting a sack every week. think it was like 4 weeks in row.

Maybe a few more sacks with an improved passrush, and hopefully LESS tackles meaning the d-line clog the holes up more often next year.

I would venture a little further. We SHOULD by then have a NT which will make a hell of a difference.....12-15 sacks ~90 tackles

Actually, what did everyone think about him dropping back into coverage last year? How'd he do?

I should have paid more attention to that this season, and I wish I had video now.

Surprisingly good. East-west he always seemed to be making or in around the tackle.
Just hope he can keep the confidence going into next season.

Jesus, now I'm starting to feel like I missed football this year. TF is wrong with me in this thread?

BT will get 13 sacks this year.

I think the major improvements are gonna be in his pass coverage, which is sumthin he has never had to do before.

i really like his upside because he had a terrible start last season:

    Game 1-7: 1 sack
    Game 9-17: 7.5 sacks

He will be even better this year I think. He'll be more comfortable playing in the 3-4 so I see him having double digit sacks and more tackles for loss. He had a good this year.

I am worried about the other side. I want a potent pass rusher. I look at Bryan Thomas as a Greg Ellis or Shawn Phillips. Hopefully Anthony Spencer, Jarvis Moss or Lamarr Woodley would assume the role of Demarcus Ware and Sean Merriman
