Hmmm. He also says that no assistant coaches has been fired and can't look for other jobs http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2008/12/national-football-post-tavern-talk-89/
i don't like the thought of a father/son tandem. pops can't fire sonny boy or there'll be bad blood at the dinner table. Al Groh did that with his son at University of Virginia. It hasn't worked out well.
No to Brian being anything more than QB coach in the future, don't mind Marty after thinking about it
That's just crazy...only thing that makes sense is if it was Mangini calling those retarded offensive gameplans all year...otherwise get him the F out of here!
You want to read something funny? You can speculate about the New York Schottenheimers. http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/football/bob_blog/2008/12/dont_discount_marty_schottenhe.html hmy:
I have no issue with Marty Schottenheimer as Jets coach. A playoff berth is a start. Promoting Brian Schottenheimer would send a horrible message, however. Talk about rewarding mediocrity.
So this is pure speculation right? With the reasoning being that Marty is an option? Kinda like the Kiffins...
In other news, I have an equal chance of being the Jets' next HC. I don't see either Brian or I getting the job, but then again my track record has sucked of late - I never thought Woody would have the sack to can Mangini.
