Delete this thread if it doesn't belong here, but this is a guy that the Jets should seriously consider bringing into the organization, most likely in the second round of the draft. Simply put, this man is a beast. He has power, speed, and great hands, he's like Mike Alstott with blocking ability. If Mangini decides to make Leon the starter from now on, this is the type of guy you want clearing holes and keeping linebackers off of him. Plus, bringing him in as an H-back and developing him now would more than likely smooth out the transition from Chad to Kellen.

Ray Rice also looks like he's going to be an awesome back in college and probably the pros. He already is in college, I guess, just a sophomore.

While I would love to have Leonard, we have too many needs right now to use a 1st day pick on a FB.

I agree, we must address the pass rush, right now we can't put pressure on the QB!!

Since I think we found our running back in LW, yet its still to early for a full review. But so far he seems to be the one we were looking for a RB. I think we should draft DE or NT, NT or DE. Whoever is the best person on the board we should grab. Have not followed college to much this year. Who should I be watching in these to catagories.

I understand where you're coming from here. If you are going to use Leonard as an Alstott type (6 seasons of 130+ carries) than I definately think you can justify a day 1 pick on him.

FB shouldn't be a day 1 pick. the o-line is improving and Pociask could be that guy next year.

dude I agree, when we picked him up everyone was like, who's this Joker, but he is one hell of a blocker. He hits hard, which is good because our line is full of finesse-type blockers where as Ryan is a beast, he comes in and knocks heads.

With all the holes on our defense we do not need a FB. We need a big DT and pass rushing OLB.

Last 1st day pick at FB...B.J. Askew

Similiar traits: Guys who can run the ball, and catch the ball out of the backfield. Leonard is a better blocker, but bottom line is that they have a similiar skill set.

skill sets and and being able to utilize them are 2 different things. Some people were saying Adrian Jones and D'Brick have similar skill sets, that doesnt make them the same kinda player

Your man crush on Sowell is almost as bad as 1028's man crush on McGraw.

I would love to have Brian Leonard in the JETS backfield next year...

Him & Leon would be so dynamic.

Maybe even throw the wishbone formation with Houston & Washington deep in the backfield, with Leonard in front of them... oh the possibilities

I'm pretty sure we've burnt that bridge to the ground.
