favre lost this game and I hope that he isn't back next year. And its painful to witness how decent coaching has made Pennington better than he was with the Jets.
i hated when he came to us and know I know why!!!!! it was a fun ride!!!!! from 4-12 to 9-7!! Thanks JETS and im glad i discovered Ganggreen.com!! you all are great to talk to!!
The coaching staff and front office keeps destoying this team. That's why no coach or GM worth his salt would take this job.
Nice job by Favre. 17 picks in 8 horrible games this year. No other QB played any worse in the entire league.
Again: Despite the talent difference favoring the Jets, the Phins are just a more solid football team all around. A Very Stout and solid all around Defense (leagues ahead of the jets D), a unpredictable, yet stable, offensive gameplan (wild cat, flee flickers, TE's are catching beasts), and very solid special teams. Sure, maybe they have the wr's we have, but lets face it: Miami is an overall better football team then the jets. Sure, Pennington was most likely the glue for the offense, but I doubt he does much better, record wise, this year with the jets. Yeah, he wouldn't turn it over, but he doesn't play defense, and we saw, with a healthly penington last year, the type of run game the jets were able to have. I haven't even gotten into the coaching mistakes, and the lack of a head coach who inspires players, and can come up with solid game plans. Miami is just better. I don't care about talent. Look at San Francisco: Mike singletary takes over, they end up 7-9. I mean, 7-9 after that start? Really? Their talent sucks, but they play HARD. They WANT TO WIN. Mangini just cannot get that instilled in this team. He is a softy, like Wade Phillips, who just got utterly shown up by romo on 4th and inches down big (Right move by romo, despite a bad game all around for dallas). Jets need a head coach that demands hard work, not one that wants a finesse style team.
