I got the game early on Friday, wait til you guys see how awesome the Jets are with Favre. You can get some INSANE passes off, he has 100 throw power and 94 accuracy. Cotchery and Coles are great, Keller is fast as hell, but the RB's aren't so great for me anyway. I can't run for shit with TJ and Leon can't break anything. Still, amazing passing game. The defense is pretty awesome too, Revis is great and Poteat can suprisingly make picks all over the place. Calvin Pace is all over the place, as well. The Jets are actually a totally usable team this year for the first time in forever.
Good to hear. I have to wait until the 17th (my birthday) to get the game. I assume it's better than 08'? Great to hear that the Jets are finally fun to play with, but can you give us a quick review on the game as a whole?
Vastly improved over 08. The only thing that pisses me off so far is the runningbacks seem so hard to take down if you're playing someone like Tomlinson, Bush, etc. The highlight stick is now ridiculous with the cuts and crap it can make. The player animations are much better, some GIGANTIC hits, great catches, and little things that make the game seem so much more real. Example, if there's an incomplete pass that may have been a catch, a defender will pick the ball up and run with it thinking it's a fumble when it's not. Players will sometimes get in eachother's faces after a play, it's really cool. The offense seems alot harder, running in general if you don't have a top tier speedback. You'll see what I mean when you try to use Jones. The soundtrack seems miserable this year. More later when I think of it.
The team is truly balanced in terms of ratings. An excellent OLine in terms of Madden, great FB, great combo of RB's, good WR tandem, good TE's for receiving(Keller) and blocking(Baker). The defense is going to be great as well with Gholston-Pace rushing from the outside, Jenkins clogging the middle, and Coleman/Ellis got very kind ratings. Revis is good, I'm going to put Miller at RCB for his speed. I use Rhodes. So the only weakness is that right side with Miller and Eric Smith...
So far on the 360 version, Smith has dominated for me online. I have like 8 picks with him, 3 came in one game. Nuts.
