It's obvious that Rodgers brought in Hackett because he's a good buddy who listens to his ashram bullshit, not because he's any good.
21 yards rushing for 3 rbs combined. Not one of them even in double digits in yards. Pathetic, even down in second half , the way they were teeing off on the pass, you still need to try some runs, Instead we go no TEs on the line in close and empty backfield, genius.
What are you supposed to do when the Defense don't respect your Qb and stacks the box huh? When they did rush it was usually backwards. What choice did Hackett even have? every team in the Nfl knows that Zach Wilson sucks by now besides the Jets, so game plan is simple dare the Jets to beat you throwing.
Really really unimpressed with the offensive gameplan. I'm not always one to skewer the OC but that's my top culprit this week. Poor protection scheming, empty backfield on 1st downs, not getting Breece involved. 4 touches is criminal. Hackett needs to get much better next week. Fortunately Dallas might be as good a team as they'll play all year. Important to note that
Of course--this is why we need someone who can get the ball downfield--preferably without leading our star WR into a safety.
I can't believe I'm typing this for the 10th year in a row, but here goes: The problem is that we have so many different problems. The OL is bad. The gameplan is bad. The playcalling is bad. The WR talent is bad other than Wilson. The TE talent is bad. You cannot win in the NFL with that many issues on offense. Nobody has been able to do it for a decade, yet our front office keeps convincing themselves we can every offseason. It is utterly mind boggling.
Stack the box,? we played a spread formation and got trashed every time. 4 touches for hall was a disgrace
Ok so why ain't you a offensive coordinator than and Hackett is huh? How the fuck do you make a gameplan with a Qb that should be playing in the arena league and would not be a starting qb for anyone but the Jets. How the fuck do you plan for the opposing team when there game plan is simple and they will just do anything to stop the run and hope that Zach Wilson throws the ball? What is your solution to this?
While you mention it, we should NEVER go empty backfield ZW. The best thing that happens is a checkdown and its usually something worse.
My guy, I was basically agreeing with you. Zach sucks, I'm not debating that. I'm just saying that a good coach, OC, and GM can make a bad QB look alright. The problem is that we're shit everywhere as it pertains to offense, and we were banking on a hall of fame QB to make up for all of the shit.
How about not hoping and wishing we get the right offensive coordinator to fix Zach(2 have failed now), cutting our losses and hiring a competent Gm who can evaluate Qb's and offensive lineman and drafting that Franchise Qb? Theres a better solution.
For all the hype, this team only has 2 legitimate playmakers on offense - yet Breece had only 4 carries and Garrett had 2 catches.
