The 49ers need to stay healthy. There running game stinks so far so they need the passing game to keep them in games. With Alex Smith, that is a tall task to begin with.

oh, c'mon... It wasn't a friendly break up, but that seems to be a big stretch.

I wonder if he'd swallow his pride to come back here after this year. It can help the Jets ease the turnover at the WR position, as I can't imagine Plaxico lasting very long.

It'd be nice not to have to address it when we need help at S, OLB, perhaps an early OL pick in the draft.

who gives a shit? I think it was rather clear the Jets didn't want him back so his pride has nothing to do with whether he will play for the Jets again. The Jets have to want him first.

it isn't as if the Jets didn't want him only because they wanted Plaxico, so it isn't as if how long Plaxico is here is going to determine whether they want Edwards. The Jets know Edwards has more years left to play than Plaxico, and they can project into the future their needs, and if they thought they would want Edwards back a year from now they would have pursued him this year to keep him.

I think he still wants to be a Jet..only reading by him answering fans on twitter. He has been responding to alot of jet fans saying "they dont know the entire story why he didnt come back"

also said he has a tremendous amount of love, and respect for the Jets. Now obviously even the dumbest NFL players wont bash a previous organization(most of the time).

I think the entire Bar brawl has alot to do why we didn't even look at him, and perhaps, if its true..how he was an asshole in the locker room.

Hopefully he has a dog shit season, and we look to bring Braylon back next year.

I was a huge Braylon Edwards fan, but at this point I wouldn't want him back. Too much drama. Honestly, I think he wants to play for the Cardinals so he can be with his buddy Kerry Rhodes. Supposedly the Cards were the team that was close to signing him to a long-term deal before he and his entourage went ape-shit on the diner kitchen staff.
